Happy Saturday, everyone. Patchy fog may develop on the roads this morning for our northwestern communities, so use extra caution when driving. The remnants of Post-Tropical Cyclone Helene will give us more chances for rain showers throughout the entire day and portions of the evening. The worst of the heavy rainfall is over, but we could receive less than a quarter inch of additional rainfall by the end of the weekend. The remnants are also keeping breezy conditions around the Tennessee Valley with sustained winds between 15-20 mph and wind gusts up to 35 mph possible. Eastern Polk County in Tennessee and Cherokee County in North Carolina are under wind advisories. More trees and power lines may be affected causing power outages. River Flood Warnings are also in place for Chickamauga Creek in Tennessee and Coahulla Creek near Dalton, Georgia for minor flooding.
