In this video, the discussion
In this video, the discussion is on the regulation of respiration especially the Neural regulation of respiration.
The Neural regulation of respiration is the one that generates the respiratory rhythm. It has the medullary centers and the pontine centers.
The medullary centers consist of the dorsal respiratory group of neurons and the ventral respiratory group of neurons. They also have the pre-botzinger complex which is the pacemaker of respiration.
The pontine centers are the apneustic center and the pneumotaxic centre.
A clinically important disease called ondines curse is also briefed.
