GPG Outbrief 25: Lightweight Quad-Pane Windows

Researchers from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory evaluated two configurations of quad-pane windows at an office building at the Denver Federal Center. Both configurations have the same form factor and a similar weight as a typical double-pane window. Compared to a high-performance double-pane window, the quad pane windows had 24% average heating and cooling savings and payback between one and six years. During the webinar, researchers and GSA facility managers discuss findings from the evaluation, share operational guidance and answer questions.
