Hopefully this was helpful but if not, that's where you can ask me a question in the comments. EVERYONE WINS! Getting to hear my angelic voice is just an added bonus. Also, a mega thanks to Sparklepipsi who told me about decorbond, which is the magic behind these pleats!
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a tutorial on how I made my Vanellope skirt; this is just how I did the pleats. I realize you guys might have questions regarding the construction of the rest of the skirt but this is not a tutorial for that. Here's a brief rundown so please stop asking:
-4 half circle skirts (2 full circle skirts)
-the 2 half circles are sewn together
-there is a waistband on the top the both skirts attach to
-there is a zipper on the side attaching both skirts
-the top will flatten when sewn to the waistband but not enough to flatten the rest of the skirt. That's why we made those pleats smaller

DO I HAVE TO FOLD MY NEWSPAPER TEMPLATE INTO ACCORDING PLEATS OR DRAW THE LINES? No, you don't have to. After you do all the initial folds and measure between the pleats, it's not essential to draw the lines all nice and refold everything. I do that so I know exactly how my pleats will look in the final product and can make changes if need be.
CAN I DRAW THE LINES FOR THE PLEATS ON MY DECORBOND BEFORE I HEM IT? Yes! I actually did that with the rest of my skirt but made an oops in the video and got ahead of myself. Both ways are doable though!
WHERE CAN I BUY DECORBOND? Most fabric stores should have it with their interfacing. I got mine online though.
WHAT FABRIC SHOULD I USE FOR MY SKIRT? This depends on you! I used a thin suede for mine. Suede actually doesn't pleat at all but you can see the drastic results when used with the decorbond. So don't be afraid to try something that normally doesn't hold a pleat.
CAN I USE DECORBOND FOR ALL OF MY PLEATING NEEDS? No! I would nor recommend that since the decorbond will make your fabric very stiff and slightly crunchy. Only use it when you need something very drastic, like these pleats.
CAN YOU GIVE ME THE EXACT PATTERN FOR YOUR SKIRT? No. Like I said, the pleats are proportional to YOUR measurements.
