Hasbro CRISIS: Loses $3 BILLION+, massive LAYOFFS, and federal RACISM complaint!

Hasbro is forced to sell
Hasbro is forced to sell the entertainment company they bought for a nearly 90% loss of more than $3 billion dollars because they failed to focus on their business. Integrating an acquisition is complicated, but this one was especially difficult. What they did manage to do was get a high score on their Corporate Equality Index for LGBT and DEI priorities and also cause the layoffs of almost 1/3 of their 6,000 employees. They are also now the proud owner of a scathing federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint for their multi-year discriminatory hiring practices from America First Legal.
Hasbro has lost 43% of the value of their company over the past 5 years, going from a worth of $10 billion to just $7 billion. They are completely captured by the woke DEI mentality and now over the past 12 months have been forced to layoff 2,000 employees-- a full 1/3 of their staff.
During the holidays when sales are at their best, Hasbro has announced it is laying off 1,100 workers which is in addition to 800 cuts from earlier in the year, making up about 20% of its global workforce.
Hasbro makes toys for Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Nerf, Monopoly, Potato Head, My Little Pony, Play-Doh, and more.
The news shouldn’t be that surprising as all of the aforementioned brands haven’t been performing as well compared to the past. The Disney movies have been failing at the box office, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed they are pulling back on both Marvel and Star Wars, so as those IPs suffer, that translates to other markets.
