I am proud to have been his student in composition. The hymn has become the undying anthem of the devotees of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila.
I recorded the hymn because I once served at the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene as church organist and instructor of the Young Nazarene Choir.
