Escalation of War in Palestine and Israel

On the morning of Oct. 7, Palestinians from Gaza undertook a surprise attack against Israeli military bases and communities just across the border from the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been under an Israeli blockade since 2007. The conflict is quickly escalating with thousands of casualties. CCAS in partnership with the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding and Georgetown University in Qatar, and the MENA Forum hosts this event that will address the broader context for these recent events, and provide an analysis of the unfolding developments and their longer term implications.
