We hope you will join us and support our efforts in the State of New Jersey to use the cinematic arts not only to bring the best in a cultural event to our state, but to support our outreach programs throughout the entire state and throughout the year to seniors, underserved youth and our military among others.



It’s a love affair of cinema in moments of distress! The Garden State Film Festival, New Jersey’s Premier Independent Film Festival®, is a global event that traditionally brings over 25,000 attendees to Asbury Park each year.



In light of the COVID-19 crisis and the Governor’s proclamation on mass gatherings, it is necessary that we do things a bit differently this year.



The globally recognized Garden State Film Festival (GSFF) returns with their 19th edition in 2021 with two new surprises: adding a new sixth day and welcoming their newest screening location, the Cranford Theater.



The festival will entail independent films from around the globe, plus announcing the winners of the screenplay and movie music competitions, the Rising Star award winner, as well as parties and panel discussions. Producers are working with F&S Digital to make GSFF 2021 a hybrid virtual and live event.





The Cranford Theater will kick off the festival March 23rd with a Children’s Film screenings at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Harry Chapin: When in Doubt, Do Something will begin at 7 p.m. The screenings will be held in-person. Should state mandates require the cancellation of any live events, ticket holders will be given virtual access to the GSFF 2021 event.



TICKETS: The Garden State Film Festival’s 2021 virtual film event will remain the same with film blocks beginning and ending during the previously scheduled days and times, EST. You can buy a ticket for an individual film block or get the VIRTUAL unlimited all-access Multi-Pass for maximum fun. With the multi-pass you can view as many films as you wish during the days and times listed in the film block schedule. All ticket holders will be able to log into the live stream with a unique password.

All screenings are presented in Eastern Standard time. Single block screening tickets are $20, All access VIRTUAL ONLY Multi-Passes are $55. www.gsff.org for tickets and more information.
