Greetings everyone, as you know, our Laos series continues. In my previous video, after reaching from the south to the north by high-speed train, I am visiting the village of the Hmong tribe. Here, I am invited to attend a tribal wedding.

However, reaching there is not easy by high-speed train. First, I travel for a while by boat, then we cross the mountains by motorbike to reach the village. I would like to emphasize that this is entirely non-touristic traditional territory.

Speaking of Hmong marriages; marriage is a significant and traditional event for the Hmong people. The completion of rituals takes about two full days.

In Hmong culture, the importance of marriage is significant and has profound effects on the overall functioning of society. Marriage not only establishes a bond between two individuals but also ensures the continuity of the community and the family.

Marriage is often seen as an agreement or alliance between families. It represents not only the coming together of two individuals but also the merging of two families. Therefore, marriage is not just a personal relationship but also a societal one.

Marriage serves as an important tool for strengthening and expanding family ties. Supporting each other and working together, families form a strong network of solidarity within the community. Additionally, marriage can determine an individual's social and economic status.

Marriages generally occur in accordance with the cultural and religious traditions of the community. Marriage ceremonies and rituals reflect the common values and beliefs of the community and play a significant role in strengthening the bond of marriage.
