Andrea Marie Williams was born March 22, 1966 in Kingston, Jamaica to Veneta Williams (née Harding) and Herman Williams.  Andrea was the baby or “wash belly” of the family and she migrated to the U.S. when she was three years old on December 14, 1969.  Andrea grew up in North Miami Beach and attended Fulford Elementary where she cultivated relationships that blossomed into lifelong friendships.  She went on to attend John F. Kennedy Middle School and graduated from North Miami Beach Senior High School.  After graduation, Andrea attended Miami Dade Community College while working.  She had her first child Dwight “Brandon” Robinson in 1989 who was the joy of her life.  She loved being a mother to her son and enjoyed the life lessons they learned together along the way.  Later in 2000, Andrea married Patrick Williams with whom she had her second child Brianna.  She enjoyed raising Brianna whom she affectionately referred to as her “pocketbook”.  Andrea was quite the family person, not only a mother to her two children but also a mother figure to nieces, nephews and younger cousins.  She was close in age to her nieces and nephews and was considered the “cool Aunt”.    Andrea was kind, warm, friendly, and truly selfless person who was always willing to share whatever she had with others.  Not many people can say they have witnessed her get upset.  She was an amazing cook and loved hosting family get-togethers where she would prepare the most delicious meals.  Her famous macaroni & cheese and fried fish were among the most requested.  Friends and family loved for her to cook special meals and make her famous beverage she nicknamed “bebige”.  Always the caretaker, Andrea lived with her parents and helped care for them.  Andrea cherished her friends and built lifelong friendships. Many of her friendships were cultivated during her early school days.  The longest friendship spans almost 50 years!  She enjoyed and looked forward to seeing a group of girlfriends that went out to dinner once a month to catch up, share memories, and check in with each other.  Even after she could no longer drive, her friends never left her out.  They would pick her up so she could participate.    In 1993 Andrea began working as a medical billing coder for her big sister Marjorie’s home health agency Specialized Nursing Services (SNS).  Andrea enjoyed her work and as she gained more knowledge and training in this area she took over the entire billing department.  In fact, Andrea continued to work at SNS even when it was sold in 2003.  She remained employed there until she could no longer physically work.  Andrea viewed the SNS team as her extended family even spending time outside of work together at social gatherings and family events.    Andrea devoted her life to the Lord in 2016 and became a baptized member of the Life Changing Anointing International in early 2017.  She was so happy with her renewed faith in the Lord and her church family.  Her faith sustained her when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2016, the same year she lost her dear mother.  Her family, church family, and friends were with her every step of the way praying with her and for her, encouraging her, and assisting in any way they could.  Throughout her treatment journey even her doctors were surprised at how well she responded to treatment.  Andrea would always say “it’s not the doctors that have the final say, it is God”.  Andrea kept this mindset until the very end always saying to loved ones “pray for me”.  On Saturday, May 15, 2021, Andrea, with her children at her side, peacefully took her last breath.   Andrea is survived by her father Herman Williams, her children, Dwight “Brandon” Robinson and Brianna Williams, her siblings Earl Marks Sr.(Gwendolyn), Eric R. Allen (Kaylin), Marjorie Kellier-Clarke (Calvin Clarke), Roseline “Pam” Hudson (Conroy), Hyacinth “Carmen” Palmer (Nathaniel), Marva Mckenzie (Lloyd), Howard Williams (Lorraine), a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and church family.
