Learn English Pronunciation – Vowel sound / ʊ / - British Pronunciation practice

Now, we’re moving to the short vowel sound /ʊ/. The sound /ʊ/ can be found in lots of words like ‘would’, ‘look’, and ‘good’.

This sound isn’t difficult to pronounce. Really!  The short sound /ʊ/ is similar to pronounce as the long /u:/. Let’s practice:
Put your tongue at the back of the mouth in a high position. Lips are round and open.
