It was a story similar to Steve Jobs being fired from Apple, which he once founded, but it happened on a much larger scale and in a much harsher way. Because in the statement, it was written that the board of directors made this decision after a deliberate review process. It concluded that fired CEO Sam Altman was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering the board's ability to exercise its responsibilities. Although it has been softened with PR language, this is a very harsh statement and it literally implies that he is hiding some things and lying.
