RHAPSODY FOR ALTO SAXOPHONE (A. Waignein) / Banda Simfònica d'Algemesí

André Waignein composed this Rhapsody for alto sax and orchestra or piano on the occasion of the 5th International Adolphe Sax Competition, in Dinant (Belgium) in 2010. It is not a programmatic work, but develops spontaneously on a journey natural musical Divided into 3 movements, La Rapsòdia explores and exploits both the technical potential of the soloist and the expressive nature of the saxophone.
