The Spurs big three had a big day. Duncan and Ginobili both dropped 32 points as the Spurs defeated the Warriors 110-105 in OT. Stephen Jackson scored 33 points to lead all scorers. Tony Parker had 23 points and 7 assists.
Ginobili overcame a quiet first half to drop 17 points in the third quarter. He also hit 4 clutch free throws at the end of regulation to force OT. Ginobili was 10-23 from the field and 11-12 from the FT line.
I wanted to upload Manu highlights as he is being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame today, 9/10/2022. Truly deserving for El Contusione.
The 08/09 season was a STRUGGLE for Manu. He basically played on bad ankles and hurt feet all year until a stress fracture ended his season in early April. This game was a rare gem that Ginobili had that season. You can see even in these highlights that Ginobili was a step slower than usual. He was walking gingerly every time he wasn’t on the floor. He is a warrior for gutting it out as long as he did.
Congratulations to Manu Ginobili on his HOF induction!
