Session Description: Working both smart and hard is an important trait that all employers look for in their employees, but not all measures of productivity and hard work are equal. For instance, if your career requires you to empty thirty bedpans each day, it is very easy to measure performance. In the “overhead” world where technology professionals live it is much more difficult to show value to the organization. In this presentation, I will provide tips and recommendations on easy ways to track your workload and present your value to the organization. I will draw on more than twenty years of experience working in the corporate world and thirteen years managing a highly skilled team of IT professionals in my managed service provider business.
