What is the immune system:
The immune system is an organisms defense mechanism against pathogens (disease inducing microorganisms such as virus bacteria fungi parasites prions). Our immune system is divided into 2 major parts: innate and adaptive in which we have multiple cells and proteins that constantly works with neutralizing and removing countless pathogens that attack us on daily basis.
What are the components origin divisions of the immune system?
The immune system is divided into 2 major sections: innate and adaptive. We have 3 different lines of defense that reduce and neutralize the pathogens that may enter our system. All of the blood cells are produced in the bone marrow but for most of our adaptive immune cells there are other tissues/organs that help to maturate them these are our primary and secondary lymphoid organs.
