'Divine Nine' mobilizes to support Harris campaign

Historically Black fraternities and sororities are rallying behind Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign for president. Harris herself is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, which is working with eight other Black sorority and fraternity organizations to help her get elected. The organizations, known collectively as the Divine Nine, seek to impact communities through outreach programs and voter registration. As soon as Harris announced she would seek the presidency, members organized calls and started donating.
