‘Concerned’ parents are open to government ‘intervention’ to keep kids safe on social media

The Australian's media writer Sophie Elsworth discusses Peter Dutton’s promise to raise the minimum age of social media access to 16 in the first 100 days if the Coalition wins the next election.

“I think there has to be some sort of intervention, but how do you actually enforce this? It will be interesting to see when more details come to light,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Steve Price.

“I think a lot of parents in Australia rightly so are concerned and are open to options of trying to fix this serious problem.”
