Bistek-style version, this time using tuna - this is our version of the Tuna steak recipe.
The marinade is the same - soy sauce and calamansi juice. It is brushed on the tuna before frying and later on, added with the onions while simmering. I love this dish, it's so tasty and easy to make. This is the healthy version, using fish. Aside from tuna, you can also use salmon, blue marlin, and mackerel.
A simple dish but very delicious. Try this and share it with your family!
Ingredients:
* 4 tuna slices, about 1/2 inch thick
* 1 medium white onion, cut into rings
* 10 pcs calamansi, juice extracted
* 1/3 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup water
* ground black pepper (for seasoning)
* cooking oil
Procedure:
1. Pat dry tuna slices with a paper towel.
2. Season with ground black pepper on both sides.
3. In a bowl - make the soy-mansi mixture by combining soy sauce and calamansi. Stir well.
4. Brush the tuna slices with the mixture on both sides.
5. In a preheated pan with oil, fry the tuna slices.
6. Pour the soy-mansi mixture. Add the white onion rings. Simmer for a few minutes.
7. Cover the tuna with the sauce while simmering on low heat.
8. Add water and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat.
9. Serve with steamed rice. Enjoy!
