This year marks the 60th anniversary of Gagarin's flight to space. Therefore, we expect the State media to talk a lot about him. Along with the victory in 1945, Gagarin's flight to space is a symbol of Russia's government legitimacy. We thought it would be good to learn more about him. What do we know about Gagarin? About his flight to space and incredible smile? His early death? His childhood hunger in a village during Germans' presence? Do we know he was disliked by some people? How did the worldwide fame influence him? Why are materials related to his death still remain in secret archives? We wanted to tell you Gagarin's story. In order to do that, we talked to people who met him in person and visited places where he had been to. We ended up filming a long but exciting story and therefore decided to split the film into two parts. It is incredible full of details, so Gagrin's life can certainly act as a plot for TV series.
