(12 Jul 1994) Nepal's King Birendra dissolved parliament and announced elections
for November 13, on Monday (11/7). The king dissolved the 205-member house of representatives - the Himalayan nation's first elected Parliament - and announced the election date. The developments follow the resignation on Sunday (10/7) of Nepali Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
