How to Plant a Blueberry
How to Plant a Blueberry Tree (This is my very subjective method)
1. Dig a pit
I need an explanation from the beginning. The pit is my farm standard.
Those who grow in bags and those who grow in pots do not apply.
There are also lands that are so poorly drained that you shouldn't dig a pit.
My farm is in the form of planting on the ridge because drainage is not smooth.

2. Spread enough shredded wood in the pit
There is also a method of mixing peat moss with perlite or planting only with peat moss.
It doesn't fit on my farm, so I'm laying down shredded wood.
In the case of peat moss, its ability to hold water and nutrients is better than that of soil.
It is useful for growing pots or bags that drain well.
3. Cover with soil
There is also a way to cover the entire plant with a mixture of peat moss or perlite.
I'm covering the soil
The reason is that blueberries are shallow-rooted plants, so when covered with peat moss or organic matter,
The roots continue to rise upward and over time
Again, there comes a situation where you need to cover it with organic matter.
**** I'm not saying it's bad to keep covering organic matter.
Blueberries grow well in soil rich in organic matter.
It is good if you add organic matter periodically *****

I plan to do it at my farm next year.
Mulching is beneficial for moisture management in midsummer and prevents weeds from growing
It blocks a certain amount and the soil temperature rises and falls rapidly

**** I tried natural cultivation in the early days of farming, but it failed.
Currently, it is in the stage of holding the pool.
