Kenny Wheeler: Percy Pursglove plays "Everybody's Song But My Own" | NDR Bigband

"Everybody's Song But My Own" is one of Kenny Wheelers most well known compositions. Percy Pursglove now plays the Canadian jazz trumpeter's piece with the NDR Bigband in an arrangement by Charlie Bates. "Of the many, many times that I heard Kenny live", said Pursglove, "there were two occasions that I was lucky enough to speak with him. Sadly, being completely starstruck, I never managed to say more than 'you're amazing'! Despite this lack of direct personal connection, he has had an inexpressibly profound effect on me.
