How To Download Files Directly To Google Drive

Let's get started,
open Google Collab and create a new notebook and paste the code to mount Google Drive. Run the code and it will ask you to enter authorization code that you can get by following the link it shows.

Copy the code you get and paste it into the Colab cell and hit enter. Now, you have mounted the Google Drive.

Now, you just paste the mail piece of code which is responsible for downloading the file. You can specify a URL to any file on the internet and change the name of the file in “with open” method.

Now, just run the downloader code and it will automatically save the file in the root of Google Drive. You can see the download file by browsing it from the left sidebar.
