Synology DS918+ Plex Media Server Installation

In this video, I'll show you how to manually install the latest version of Plex Media Server on your Synology DS918+. This method should also work for any Synology device as long as you download the correct version of Plex if it's supported.

This is the Synology DS918+. It's a 4-bay network attached storage that I'll be using to store my photos and videos as well as a plex media server. It has a 1.5ghz quad core CPU that can burst up to 2.3ghz, has 4GB DDR3 RAM as well as 2 NVME SSD slots for caching. It supports 4K hardware transcoding so it'll be perfect as a plex media server. I picked up a couple Seagate Ironwolf 8TB drives to use in the DS918+ as well.
