You are gonna get a little bundle of wire that you're gonna have to take from this black wire coming off the converter box. It's gonna go up to the battery. Converter box, this is probably the most important part of this wiring harness. This is what's gonna protect your vehicle, your factory wiring on your vehicle, when you back feed from your trailer, if your trailer has a short or something in the light circuits. You're gonna have a wire, yellow and brown, that's gonna be your driver's side. The green wire is gonna be routed over to the passenger's side. You're gonna have a ground that we're gonna mount. This is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. This is gonna provide all proper lighting functions to safely tow our trailer: both blinkers, brake lights, running lights, and your ground wire. It's also gonna have an attached dust cap that's gonna help protect any of your connections from any dirt and debris, moisture, anything like that when it's not being used.As far as the installation goes on this, it's very simple, very straightforward. The wires are gonna connect to the factory wiring on the vehicle. They're gonna connect behind the taillight. It's gonna run down across the inside of your bumper fascia, over to your passenger's side. You're gonna have your 4-pole connection. That gets mounted right here. As you can see, this customer decided to go with the long bracket and 4-pole bracket, which does not come with your wiring kit. However, those can be found on our website. You're gonna have a converter box. That converter box is gonna keep any back feed from your trailer. If your trailer has a wiring issue or a short, it's gonna keep any of that short from getting into your factory wiring and causing you an issue with the factory wiring on a new vehicle. You're gonna have a power wire that has to be ran to the front of the vehicle and up to the battery. Very simple, find some hard lines. Stay away from anything moving or that gets hot. You find some existing hard lines, you can zip tie them right to it.Now that we've gone over some of the features, let me show you how to get it installed. To start our installation we need to remove our taillights. Our instructions tell us there's gonna be two T-30 torque bits, or screws, that we need to remove. Here we have to 10mm head bolts. Either one, 10mm or the T-30 torque bits. Socket, we're gonna have one here on top. Then we're gonna have one here on the bottom. Once you remove those, you're gonna slowly start to pull back like that. We'll go ahead and disconnect it. There's a red clip, push up on the clip, push down on that black part, tab there, and pull them apart. We'll set this aside and we'll do the same thing on the passenger's side. We're gonna take the yellow side . We can do this two ways. This is pretty open here. We're gonna go back behind our bumper fascia, it's pretty open. We can take this whole thing and drop it there. If you didn't have a lot of room, you actually will take your yellow side and pull it up from the bottom up so you don't have to worry about the rest of this. We have quite a bit of room here, so we're just gonna drop it. I'm gonna go ahead and make my connection on my driver's side. It's basically gonna be the same way we disconnected. You're just gonna match the plugs, push them together until you hear them click. Now, we can drop the rest of it down in there. Now that we've got everything down, we can go ahead and reinstall our taillight. Don't forget to lock your red tab.Next thing we're gonna do is mount our converter box. There's a flat spot right off on the inside here, underneath our rear fascia that's flat. We need to clean it off first. Take some rubbing alcohol and paper towel or rag. Make sure that's cleaned off really good. You're gonna get some double sided tape from your kit. Peel off one side and stick it to the converter box. Make sure you press it into place and then peel off the other side. We're gonna stick it right on the spot we cleaned off. Make sure you press that into place, also. Next we're gonna take our self-tapping screw, 1/4 inch bit. We're gonna mount our ground wire. You wanna make sure you mount this on metal, not on any plastic. I'm gonna go straight up, right here on the bottom of the body of the car.Next, we'll take our black wire, we're gonna strip it
