A besom broom?  That's a new one for many of us.  Its a broom made of twigs tied together to a stouter pole.  Looking at the plant, we can see why cytisus, commonly known as scotch broom,  got its name.
Listen in as David at Overdevest Nurseries talks about this EYE-CATCHING, fragrant shrub. It grows quite large and is loaded with🌈 garnet-red pea-like flowers that bloom in spring.  It needs a bit of space but is well worth the it. David  explains how it is perfectly suited for open, sunny, free-draining, gravely sites, how it is equipped to thrive in impoverished, nutrient challenged conditions and very importantly, how (as a hybrid) it should not be confused with the invasive (yellow flowered) Scotch Broom. Learn more of David's practical, tips and suggestions, including when and how to prune them, and how you can enjoy all the benefits of this very colorful and EASY to GROW shrub.
