Hey guys, I still plan to design and build all-metal weight upgrades for the 552 and 1090 at some point just as a personal challenge. This video is not about that project.
This video is intended to kick off a low low budget conversion project that anyone can complete with readily available tools and supplies from local sources. I will purposely avoid any tools and materials I think aren't going to be available to the average SelectTech owner...for example, a welder, or powder coating. I'll keep it simple and straightforward.
So let's explore together what it is going to take to remove the plastic coverings on the SelectTech weights and modify the underlying steel plates so that they can be used safely and securely with your OEM handles and even with my Average Joe Disc Fix Kits.
