If you ever had theft from forgetting to close your garage door, (like I did) here is a solution that does not cost much and can be done in an hour or two. It has worked perfectly for me and I never forget to close the door at night anymore. The common building code for wiring is to not have high voltage and low voltage wires in the same compartment. So to make the setup in the video up to code, I would just need to install a double switch to replace the two single switches. That would leave me with an open slot. Then at the hardware store, I can buy a divider for the electrical box. That would separate the high and low wires and make it up to code.
You will need:
Wire
LED
Soldering Gun
N.C. (normally closed) switch.
