Kdenlive how to separate audio from video for the purpose of editing
talking about editing audio or video depending on your situation
a couple of ways to separate audio in kdenlive
turn it the audio into a wave file by extraction
the other way to do this in kdenlive is to ungroup clips
they are know separate in kdenlive I can move one or the other

in kdenlive use the zoom tool to edit hard to see areas of the audio
zooming in kdenlive makes editing easy but increases speed so you have to play with it a little

the issue in kdenlive now is the audio is shorter than the video

there is so many things you can do in kdenlive the main thing is do not get frustrated and quit
