PeaceFair PZEM-021 AC Power Meter, Unboxing

Let's have a look at this 20A AC panel meter and compare it to the 100A model I looked at last year.

This is the PeaceFair model PZEM-021.  It's rated for the same 80-260V (50/60 Hz) as the earlier model, but this one uses an internal current shunt (0.1 ohms) instead of an external current transformer like the PZEM-061 model.  It has a 20A maximum current rating instead of 100A like the CT model.

I decided I wanted to try and use this model on my isolated variable voltage power supply, since that only goes up to 7 amps.  My thinking is the 20A meter will be more accurate at the lower power and current readings than the 100A model.

I'll take a closer look inside this meter and make a modification to make it work better on the power supply.  In addition, I have some ideas for using the two 100A meters I have, so stay tuned for those videos...
