This was announced by the Teacher's Dignity Coalition through National Chair Sir Benjo BAsa who had a meeting with the Department of Budget and Management on July 11, 2024. The DBM announced that a raise for 2024 under Salary Standardization Law (SSL) VI has been proposed and is awaiting the president's approval. If approved, the raise will be applied starting from January 2024. The Teachers' Dignity Coalition (TDC) supports determining teachers' salaries based on Magna Carta criteria rather than SSL and is collaborating with lawmakers to push forward this idea.
