Part 5.1 of our FULL BUILDING design example. this one is a 2 part-er people! We tackle calculating, engineering, and designing our concrete shear wall story drift. This is a full wood / tilt-up design example under seismic design criteria. We use the ASCE 7-16 and ACI as well as a few other tricks to determine if our diaphragm is flexible of rigid per the ASCE 7-16.
