Employee Provident Fund (EPF) is an investment made by salaried people for their retirement benefit. EPF is managed by the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Each month employees' PF amount is deducted from their salary. The amount deducted will be deposited in the EPF account by the employer. Is your PF not deposited by the company? Unfortunately, some companies deduct PF contributions from their employees’ salaries but do not deposit them with EPFO. Many employees are not aware of this and are shocked when they come to know there is no retirement corpus. So, it is advisable to check your EPF passbook frequently, to know if the EPF amount has been deposited.
