HOMELESSNESS IN MONTANA: Local officials expect an uptick in homelessness this summer

Bozeman has seen a rise in homelessness and urban camping in the area.

To find out what's causing this uptick, NBC Montana went to the public safety center to talk with local police.

“I definitely think we’ll see an increase in the amount of folks experiencing houselessness here in Bozeman this summer. We’ve seen it in the last few years actually since COVID. And we expect that probably to increase again this year,” said Andy Knight, Deputy Police Chief for the Bozeman Police Department.
