In this video, Jim showcases one of the finest experiences a man can receive at a barbershop -- The Executive Shave. From the comfortable confines of GENT Cuts and Grooming in downtown Minneapolis, this shave begins with a few rounds of steaming hot facial towels, to help soften the bristles, and open up the pores of the skin to allow for the best, smoothest shave possible.
After adding a facial cleanser to remove dirt and grime, Jim adds a hot pre-shave oil, and finally lathers up the face for the shave experience. The first pass from a fresh blade goes with the grain; making sure to not irritate the skin. The second razor pass can go against the grain, if preferred, to really groom a face that is the smoothest a man will ever feel!
What seperates the Executive Shave is the next steps: a face cleansing, followed immediately by a detoxifying clay mask. Once the mask gets cleaned off by yet another steaming facial towel (because you can never have too many towels!), the pores close back up with the application of a cool facial towel, and a few rounds of aftershave.
