Fairness

This stop motion explores the premise that fair isn't about being equal, but rather "fair" is everyone getting their needs met.

This video was inspired by a popular visual shared on social media of three kids trying to see over a fence to watch a baseball game. Only one of them is tall enough to see over. To help solve the problem they are given the same size box to stand on. The trouble is the tall person could already see and didn’t need a box. The middle person can now see but the shortest person still can’t see. This demonstrates that everyone getting the same (or equal) support didn’t meet everyone’s needs. The same supports redistributed can meet everyone’s #needs.  

This idea can be used to support #inclusive education practices. #Inclusion and #diversity are best served with a needs-model.
