How to Build Rolling Nesting Boxes for Chicken's

As we were planning out our chicken coop we were determined that we needed rolling nesting boxes to prevent egg eating and to help keep eggs clean. I did a little research on the amount of slope they needed. Too much the eggs would crack when rolling, too little and they wouldn't roll at all! I decided a 2inch incline is what I needed. From there I drew and cut a template for walls. Put on a floor and roof. added stop bars in the front and the back, and later an additional inner bar to keep chickens out of the catch area (see very end of video for those pics).  it took me a day to build these and we love how they turned out!
