Summary:

Virtually no blood loss in the operating room.

Around 3% chance of bleeding at any point during the 2 week healing process.  If this happens, bleeding will usually stop with ice chips, ice water.

Around 1% chance of requiring cauterization or stitch.  Sometimes will require trip back to the OR.

During the 2 weeks post op, do not fly on airplanes, go out on boats, or venture too far from health care.
