Like Sam tells us, in this new Volkl tennis racquet, the brand takes its stronger and more durable V-Cell material and embeds it throughout the entire hoop and shaft of the frame. This result is a notable improvement in comfort over the popular V-Feel 9. Volkl's VTex technology outfits the butt cap with silicone and polymer to help reduce racquet vibration and torque.
The Super G grommet system stretches the sweet spot towards the outer edges of the head, and it supplies surprising power and control beyond that of a traditional sweet spot. The variable 24/26/23 cross-section provides extra pop and stability, while the 10.9 oz unstrung weight keeps the V-Cell 9 maneuverable. The 100 square inch head coupled with a 16x19 string pattern, provides more directional control than the V-Cell 8 Volkl racquets, while still maintaining comfort and power for faster tennis racquet head speeds.
