Volvo's first-ever minivan, the electric EM90, has finally broken cover. The luxury people hauler is a drastic departure for the brand and previews the direction Volvo is heading, but it won't be available in all markets. Volvo has no plans to bring the EM90 to America, meaning your hunger for an electric three-row Volvo will have to be sated by the forthcoming EX90 SUV.
Based on Geely's (Volvo's Chinese parent company) Scalable Experience Architecture, the EM90 shares underpinnings with the Zeekr 009, along with much of its styling. But Whereas the Zeekr has a dual-motor powertrain with some pretty epic performance, the Volvo is somewhat more subdued.
