[Absolutely recommended Kamikochi trekking route explained]
It's just the right distance for a day hike.
Get off the Kamikochi bus at Taishoike, Tashiroike - Tashiro Bridge - Weston Monument - Kappa Bridge -
This is the route from Takesawa Wetland to Myojin Pond to Hotaka Shrine and back to Konishidaira Campsite 😃
This route is my favorite route in Kamikochi.
This is the best walking route while enjoying nature.
I will explain while displaying the MAP.
In Kamikochi, where spring has just begun
Many wild birds live there
Nilinsou, heralding the arrival of spring, were growing in clusters at Myojin Shrine.
[It is said that if you find a green herring, you will be happy♪
Will you discover a lucky sardine?]
On the way, you can enjoy lunch at Kamonji Hut and Kamikochi.
I also stop by a shop [TROIS CINQ Kamikochi] that has delicious apple pie.
Kamonjigoya's salt-grilled rockfish is really delicious, so be sure to try it!
I can't stand the salty feeling in my tired body.
Kamikochi is located on the southern Nagano Prefecture side of the Hida Mountains Northern Alps.
One of Japan's leading mountain resorts located upstream of the Azusa River
It is also part of Chubu Sangaku National Park.
Designated as a national cultural property (Special Place of Scenic Beauty, Special Natural Monument, Naturally Protected Area)
Kamikochi is approximately 1,500 meters above sea level and has lodging facilities and hot springs, making it a base for sightseeing and mountain climbing.
Some people head from Kamikochi to climb the Hotaka Mountain Range and Mt. Yarigatake.
Access to Kamikochi🚗
Kamikochi cannot be accessed by private car due to private car regulations.
If you are using a sightseeing bus or private car, park at the Akandana parking lot on the Gifu Prefecture side.
You can enter Kamikochi by bus, or you can also board from the bus stop at Hirayu Onsen.
When entering from Nagano Prefecture to Kamikochi
Park your car at Sawando Bus Terminal and take a bus or taxi from there.
You can head to Kamikochi
Hotels in Kamikochi etc.🏨
There are several famous hotels in Kamikochi.
Starting with the Imperial Hotel, Gosenjaku Hotel Kamikochi, etc.
Kamikochi Hotel Shirakabaso, hot spring inn, and Taisho Pond also have lodging facilities.
I am a 5 minute walk from Kappa Bridge.
Located in Kamikochi Mori no Resort Konashi
I pitched a tent and stayed at Konishidaira Campsite.
A campsite full of nature with a view of the Hotaka Mountain Range in front of you.
However, Kamikochi is the habitat of Asiatic black bears, so there is a possibility of encountering a bear.
For this reason, several measures have been taken to prevent bears.

[Temperature and clothing in Kamikochi]
The temperature in Kamikochi in May is about 10°C lower than in the flatlands.
The morning I visited was below freezing, so cold that Taisho Pond was covered in ice.
However, during the day the weather is sunny, the temperature is high, and the weather is sweaty.
And when the sun went down, it was windy and cold.
We recommend wearing layers and clothes that can be adjusted.
Even in summer, a thin jacket is a must 😃
[Camping food and Kamikochi gourmet food]
Dinner is a simple camping meal at the campsite.
Try making easy mountain rice using canned rice and alpha rice
I tried making oyakodon using canned yakitori.
I was skeptical that it would really taste good, but...
Well, did the camp meal turn out well?
By the way, the morning camp meal is Yokozuna ramen.
On the way back, we will have Kappa-yaki and the usual that at Kamikochi Bus Terminal 👍️
