Its been 7 weeks and 2 days and Moscow, Idaho police believe they now have the killer responsible for the heinous murder of 4 young UI students.

Dr. Ann Wolbert Burgess is an internationally recognized pioneer in the assessment and treatment of victims of trauma and abuse, and author of A Killer by Design: Murderers, Mindhunters, and My Quest to Decipher the Criminal Mind.
Among her many awards and accolades, in 2016 she was named a Living Legend by the American Academy of Nursing
She has also worked with FBI Academy special agents to study serial offenders, and the links between child abuse, juvenile delinquency, and subsequent perpetration.
You know the super successful Netflix show Mindhunters about the FBIs first days of criminal profiling — she worked with the real-life agents the show is based on….
And, unlike my mother, who Ann is a few years older than, Ann still works like crazy …
Dr. Gary Brucato, Ph.D is presently a Visiting Scholar at Boston College, where he collaborates with Drs. Ann W. Burgess and Victor Petreca on forensic research. They have examined crimes, such as murder, including serial killing; sex offenses; mutilation and dismemberment; and the insanity defense. He is currently serving as a consultant on a grant-funded project by Burgess and Petreca, analyzing murders involving asphyxiation by strangulation and other means. He is a member of Dr. Burgess’ Super Sleuths group, in which experts from diverse forensic disciplines convene to provide consultation on various cold cases.
Gary studies among other things …how violent thoughts and actions emerge in psychotic versus non-psychotic persons
He’s the co-author of The New Evil: Understanding the Emergence of Modern Violent Crime
Jeff Wood is a retired FBI Special agent out of Boston who focused on gangs and gang violence and is decorated veteran and seasoned investigator
BUT, we want to make it clear …Bryan Kohberger is only a suspect … presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law ….and that the profile this trio originally provided — and will discuss today — had nothing to do with Kohberger’s arrest.
Let us never forget those young lives lost way too soon: Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20.
