On the morning of May 29, 1982, Rosemarie Magdalena Albach, better known as Romy SCHNEIDER, was found dead by her companion, Laurent PÉTIN, in her Parisian apartment at 11, rue Barbet-de-Jouy in the 7th arrondissement. She was 43 years old. Police find on her desk an unfinished letter (an apology for her daughter with measles) to cancel a photography and interview session which bears a long deletion, showing that the actress must have collapsed in l writing.
Symbolically wearing a Star of David around her neck, she was buried on June 2, 1982 in the cemetery of Boissy-sans-Avoir, the commune of her country house purchased shortly before. The body of her son David, initially buried on July 7, 1981 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, was transferred to his mother's vault. Visit of his tomb in the cemetery of Boissy-sans-Avoir. I place a sunflower on herstone, a symbol of respect and admiration.
