how to connect a gaming console, a DVD or Blu ray player or any other kind of media device to multiple screens so you’ll be able to see the same image on two TV's or monitors the same way Walmart and other electronic stores set up their TV’s for display, they are all playing the same movie or ad at the same time.

People don’t know that they connect a media device to an HDMI splitter box, and this allows them to play a video or a movie on multiple TV’s of different sizes, brands and resolutions.
There are many reasons why you would like to do this For me this is very useful, because my PS5 is connected to a 4k 65 inch TV but sometimes I like to play on a 1080p 24 inch monitor so swapping HDMI cables every time I want to switch to a different screen gets a little annoying and not only that, I know that over time its going to wear out the HDMI port from my PS5
So if you’re trying to do something like this, what you need is an HDMI splitter box, like this one.
If you look at the back there is one HDMI in port (This is where we are going to be connecting our media device) and 2 HDMI out ports (This is for our TV’s or monitors) and a DC port for power.
And on the front we have some light indicators and a mode button.
So once everything is connected it would look something like this.
If you need to connect multiple media devices to one single display this is not going to work for you.
What you need is an HDMI switcher box, it actually does the opposite of an HDMI splitter. I have another video where I explain more in depth about that, just click right here or on the link in the video description.
So once everything is connected you’re probably going to notice that the screens will flicker a couple of times, this is completely normal.
The splitter box is just trying to figure out what's the media device and displays resolution and refresh rate.
And after that you should be able to see the same image on both screens.
And as you can see when I play a video game I don’t feel any extra latency or change in the frame rate and when I play a movie the picture quality is just as good as if it were connected directly to a single monitor or TV.
Here are a few things I would like to mention is that this TESmart HDMI splitter box specifically only has 2 HDMI out ports so if you want to connect more than 2 monitors or TV’s you’re going to need a bigger HDMI splitter box with more HDMI output ports.
Something to keep in mind is that some HDMI splitter only support a resolution of 720 at 60hz or 1080p at 30hz.
So if you like to watch movies or play games in 4k at 60 frame per second you should get a HDMI splitter like mine.
Or if you don’t care about 4k just save some money and get a cheaper one that supports the same resolution from your media device.
