2019 Throwback! Our First Trip to Walt Disney World

Are you ready for a throwback? Picture it. Avengers: Endgame had just came out at the cinema. Bohemian Rhapsody won 4 Oscars earlier in the year. Baby Yoda was ‘a thing’. Yes that’s right,  we are winding back the clock to the grand old year of 2019!

This is a somewhat clumsy yet charming documentation of our very first Walt Disney World trip. It was the trip of a lifetime we had planned for months to celebrate Jay’s 30th birthday! It’s almost to the day we left for this trip 5 years ago. You can tell throughout the trip we just fall in love with the Disney parks, and have of course been lucky enough to go back to Orlando Florida a few times now! It also inspired us to travel to Disneyland Paris a couple of times, and Tokyo Disneyland! Some of the videos are linked below.

Walt Disney World was quite different then - there are shows and entertainment that no longer happen (PLEASE bring back the Liberty Square Muppet Show! and the nighttime Animal Kingdom show!) and the meals at some of the most popular locations were different. Namely, Be Our Guest offered a quick service option, which we enjoyed on our first ever visit - it is now a staple in our Disney itinerary!
