What's behind yellow spots on autos? Yellow (mustard looking) dots all over the paint, windows, and glass? What are those damn yellow drops all over my car?

It's bee poop!
These yellow spots contain digested flower nectar, traces of honey, and pollen. Honey bees, bumble bees, and carpenter bees all leave their waste behind as they fly around on their daily business. As busy bees buzz from one flower to another drinking delicious nectar, they have to poop... and they've got to poop somewhere! And just like birds in flight, bees poop wherever they please... which tends to be on shiny clean cars parked near their buzzing grounds.
You'll notice lots of these yellow spots on your car if you park by flowering plants, trees, forests, meadows, gardens, vineyards, or pastures. You may notice you have more of them during certain times of year (when bees are more active,) and fewer of them at other times of year (when bees are hibernating.)
It may not always be bee poop; sometimes airplane fuel or other airborne pollution lands on cars. But you'll notice these yellow spots on your car even when you're parked nowhere near an airport or the flight paths of any airplanes.
