Ooty to Coonoor Train Journey on the Niligiri Mountain Railway - Wooden Coaches & a YDM4 Locomotive!

A journey from Ooty(Udagamandalam) to Coonoor by the 06137 Ooty Mettupalayam Toy Train.

This train is a daily service and departs from Ooty at 14:00. It's hauled by a YDM4 class diesel engine till Coonoor from where a X class steam locomotive takes over for the ride through the rack and pinion equipped line to Mettupalayam.

Tickets can be booked in advance through IRCTC and PRS counters or booked on the spot by standing in a queue at the station. Bear in mind though that tickets are available in very limited numbers and on a first come first serve basis.
