This video will help you understand the difference between Primary Sales & Secondary Sales in the FMCG industry.
It is very important, especially for the sales guy to understand this difference. Many people think that Primary Sales is the same as Secondary Sales, but it is not.
Also, I will explain this using the FMCG Distribution model (in General Trade), where we have Stockist, Distributor, Retailer & Wholesaler.
I have also explained the difference between the distributor and the stockist.
At last, I have explained another term " Tertiary Sales" and how it is different from Primary & Secondary Sales.
To track Secondary Sales, various companies install DMS at the distributor to track the outflow of the products from the distributor point to the retailer point.
Various DMS in the market such as Botree, Bizom, Beatroute,
ChannelKonnect, etc help in maintaining the records of the invoices.
