In this video, I'm visiting one of the most beautiful (and lesser-known) temples in Tokyo - Jōshinji Temple in Kuhombutsu, located in Setagaya Ward, close to Jiyugaoka. This temple houses several beautiful Japanese buildings, a well-kept garden as well as a quite big cemetery. It is open most days and visitors can explore the vast premises without having to pay any entrance fee.
The nearest Station is Kuhombutsu on the Tokyu Oimachi Line, but the bigger Jiyugaoka Station, served by the major Tokyu Toyoko Line, is also within walking distance.
By the way, would this kind of video qualify as ASMR? Please let me know in the comments below.
Unlike many other countries, there's no official lockdown here in Japan. We are encouraged to stay home and avoid meeting other people, but there are no rules prohibiting us from going outside. This was shot during the national emergency in Tokyo.
I will start posting videos regularly here again, but due to the current health crisis, I'm trying to avoid visiting crowded areas at the moment. But if there's a specific place you would like to see, please don't hesitate to contact me. Also, feel free to ask any questions you might have about life in Tokyo/Japan. I am planning to start doing a bit of narrated videos as well, and it's always good to have ideas about things you people would like to know about life in this country.
